Introduction to Defending the Faith, Jude 3 tells every Christian to “defend the faith” as part of their daily life. So every day we pray that we defend it.  This book designed to cut to the heart of non-Christian thinking, includes a handy chart showing a Christian defense to common intellectual challenges.  It combines the views of evidentialism and presuppositionalism together into one system of apologetics.  Topics include ‘examining a religion’ and ‘the Christian world and life view’.

Observations to defending the faith

First the believer needs to observe two aspects of activity; first the defensive work. The ardent believer defends the faith when an attack occurs!  Second activity; the offensive work.  A believer must demonstrate the attacker’s errors in their beliefs.  Then show the attacker the only correct answers to life come from a belief in Christ.

The goals of this book

  1. Survey the various ways non-Christian systems fail.
  2. To put forth the ways which Christians challenge non-Christian systems of thought.
  3. Put forth illustrations how the Christian world view develops various areas of life.

While apologist developed many books on defending the faith.  Many of them require advanced studies to understand.  Dr. Morey wrote this monograph to fill in the blanks for the average person.  Therefore, let the reader stop and ask, “Have I received Jesus as my Savior?”  As a result, a biblical responsibility becomes a self-examination to determine am I ready to defend the faith.  Reading this book helps the beleiver determine their readiness.
