The Book of Romans (11 CDs)
The book of Romans chapter 1-3. Dr. Morey explains the book of roman’s chapters 1-3. Dr Morey talks about the meanings and application of the information contained in these three chapters. The Apostle Paul wrote Romans with a five fold reason. 1) Romans becomes the theological bridge between the Old and New testaments. There are more references to the Old Testament and that makes for the bridging. Paul goes to lengths to demonstrate the Gospel message of justification, Justification through faith alone apart from the works of the law given in the Old Testament. 2) Paul emphasizes the Gospel of God the Father as revealed to the prophets in the Old Testament. (Rom. 1:2) 3) Paul states the Gospel of God found in the Old Testament prophets focuses on the work of the Messiah.
4) Paul next examines the fact of salvation through grace alone. This includes salvation by faith alone and apart from the works of the law. That salvation in this fashion happened in the Old Testament, before and after Moses. Paul illustrates this fact using Abraham who lived before the law. Paul uses David as an example for those who live after and under the law. 5) Paul argues, one God, one salvation this applies to Jews and Gentiles.
