Exploring the Attributes of God

Exploring the Attributes of God The scriptures are abundantly clear that the knowledge of God is the goal of salvation (John 17:3).  And also the goal of Christian life (Philemon 3:8-10). The failure to know God will be the basis of divine judgment when Christ returns in glory (II Thess. 1:7-8).  This book is a study guide on the attributes of God for Bible studies and Sunday school classes  A guide for college and career classes, and all those who want to know about the biblical attributes of God.  Topics include: The Danger of idolatry; the infinity of God; and the “Omni” attributes of God.

Knowing God comes in two phases.  The first phase requires and intellectual study of God.  Jesus related the need for a true knowledge of our Creator.  For there no one reaches the level of God, but we should strive to that goal.  Renewed and transformed mind become the goal of learning about God.  Mindlessness and irrationality leads away from the true knowledge we seek.

The second phase goes beyond the mere intellectual grasp of God.  We need to place our selves in a personal encounter with the living God.  Saving faith requires three things, an intellectual understanding; an approval and agreement that truth lies in the biblical view of God; and finally, your personal commitment to worship and serve God.

Goal of Exploring God
