A Survey of Genesis, Dr Morey starts this lecture with an explanation of the word Genesis. Genesis means beginning and Dr. Morey relates that to the Hebrew word, “Bereshit.” This Hebrew word means “In the beginning.” In the first book of scripture, the very first word, “Bereshit = in the beginning.” Dr. Morey then tells how everything , everything began at that time. Then he points out that the bible stands as the only religious literature that begins at the beginning and closes at the end of history. After that he reveals a comparison of other religious literature.
