The Bible continues as an encyclopedia of 66 books. There stand 40 different human authors but only One publisher, God. God put the 66 books together the way He wished. This took over 2000 years to accomplish! The book as we know it subsisted as scrolls in Jesus’ time. No one owned the scrolls they kept them in the synagogue. This made the scrolls available to any and all who might need to use them. The early church became messed up due to a lack of scripture availability. People managed without the capability of reading. Therefore, the people relied on priests to read and to interpret scripture for them. It seems that the priests put their own spin on scripture. As a result people often heard the wrong message from scripture.
