How the Old and New Testaments Relate to Each Other

How the Old and New Testaments Relate to Each Other; do we keep the food laws in the Old Testament?  The Sabbath pertinent for today?  The meaning of “covenant” the same as “testament?”  The relationship of Gentile Christians to Old Testament law became the first controversy that threatened to split the infant Church. After spending over twenty years researching and wrestling with these issues, Dr. Morey dissects Dispensationalism, Covenant Theology, and Dominion Theology.

This book discusses the answers to the questions posed in the previous paragraph.  Most non-theological people restrict the recognition that both testaments (covenants) persist totally linked.  The Old Covenant is the blurred foundation for the completion in the New Covenant.  The questions raised in the Old Covenant are answered in the New Covenant.  The food laws, abolished in the New Covenant.  The Sabbath, changed from Saturday to Sunday.  Why?  Read the book to discover why!  It depends on who you discuss this topic with as to which form is followed; Old Testament or Old Covenant!

The problem,  not a new one!  In Acts 15 we find a discussion of this problem.  The book of Galatians written to refute the argument that Gentile Christians must first obey the “Law of Moses.”  After which they would receive the Grace of Christ.  This book not the final answer to the questions.  However, it becomes the starting point for those struggling with this subject.  Theologians and Lay people alike gain from this book the starting point just mentioned.  All that we ask – please be patient don’t form an opinion until you complete reading book.  We hope we move this discussion forward toward better understanding.
