Philosophy of Evil
A 6 disc set that discusses the philosophy of evil. Using the analytical deductive method to understand “evil”. Analytical equals studying the subject to know what the various parts mean. Deductive means starting with the whole and figure out the meaning of the subject. We deal with subjects such as metaphysics, epistemology, ethics, and aesthetics of what we deal with. Dr. Morey talks about these subjects in relation to evil. He also gives examples of people who think there is no evil. Dr. Morey explains a mind map of our subject “evil”. He describes the structure of the “mind map”.
Disc #2, a further discussion of evil, man judging God. Man threatened to not believe in Him, God. The discussion turns to David Hume and his beliefs. We exist for God’s glory and not the other way around. Again the metaphysics equals being. Does evil exist? Metaphysically evil does exist. More examples of people and their examples of pursuits. Some folks say that evil is just the absence of good. Scripture tells us evil exists! Therefore we need to deal with striving to overcome evil. Some refer to evil as demonic, ergo Satan and his minions equates to evil. Also evil referred to spiritual.
Continuing discussing the philosophy of evil
Discs 3 to 6 continue telling about what evil contains and how it affects humanity. Evil, Satan was created so he is finite. Satan and his minions are really here not in hell. We have evil in our worl because God says evil is evil. Where does evil come from? Source of evil needs to be talked about. God created a beautiful angel named Lucifer. Lucifer desired to be more like God and he rebelled against God. Adam and Eve rebelled against God by disobedience. Adam’s sin became our sin by imputation.
