Natural Law
Natural Law, deals with fallacies and “problems” concerning the theology entitled “Natural Law”. The Bible puts God first. Theology of nature puts man first. Law of nature is anti-biblical since man did not create the world. Using reason this idea contends that a person can determine beauty, justice, and morals on his own. However, there are no absolutes in reason to find beauty, justice, or morals. Only God gave us the absolutes to find beauty, justice, and morals! In reason one person’s beauty is another’s ugliness. So no one is right or wrong with the Law of nature. This could be the point!
Natural Theology thinks the need for the Bible redundant man provides his own morals, justice, and beauty. In the law of nature we find rationalists, empiricists, mystics and fideist. Rationalists think we need only reason to find God. Empiricists think we need our experience to find God. Using feelings to find God – mysticism. Dealing with faith only to determine God, yep, fideism. However, all these require man to look into himself and not to scripture or even to God.
So how should we deal with these forms of religion that rule out looking to God for inspiration? It certainly isn’t common sense, because that still requires reason to determine how we live. The doctors turn the talk to the Greek philosophers but still no dealing with God there, pagans yes, true God no.
We find ourselves caught in a dilemma which if you desire to find the answer you need to buy this video. It fits well in any Christian’s library.
