‘Justification: the Heart of the Gospel:
Justification: the Heart of the Gospel; The doctrine of Justification stands as the core of Christianity. Justification means what for us? Justification means to be set right with God. Therefore, found not guilty in a court of law. Our forefathers used a pedagogical approach to teaching and learning scripture. We need to acknowledge the difference between revealed theology and natural theology. Natural theology always fails because it start with man. It starts with man to look to himself to find answers to God and the universe. The title of this theology remains “humanism!” This theology relies on man’s reason to find the foundation of religion.
Dr. Morey goes into a discussion of Greek philosophy. He tells how each generation of philosophers built on the past, or cancelled the past. Dr. Morey explains how all of philosophy never found God. They never prevailed against Christian morals in their seeking. Dr. Morey then remarks that if the people knew who Jesus was they might not have joined in the crucifixion. God’s plan rested on Jesus and the crucifixion. God planned on Jesus to save His elect.
This CD series speaks to the depths of Christ’s love for us in the atonement.
