God, Evil, and You

God, Evil, and You; Dr. Morey discusses analyzingl scripture verses by breaking them down. He explains how to use the deductive form of learning.  He explains using learning about an automobile as his example.  We don’t start with man and build on man’s ability to reason.  We start with God creating the world, universe, and Mankind and arrive at what God wishes us to understand.  You begin with the whole and break it down to learn about it.  There exist many questions about God.  So how should one go about learning what God reveals about Himself?  Actually its spelled out in and through the Gospel.  Certain moral and ethical beliefs come from God/  The ten commandments spell out these beliefs.

The lecture says that the solution to the problem of “evil” needs time to work out.  A life long process where Christ works on us and through us towards our salvation.  Does evil exist?  It becomes a metaphysical discussion.  Looking at the philosophy of evil trying to understand the issues involved.  Many people believe evil to be the absence of good.  But how would you distinguish evil if you met it?  What defines evil, what characteristics show?
